Tell me about how you came into this position

How is your approach to interactive different than other agencies?
Having done interactive work at just about about every agency (here), I wanted to beat home the idea that it's "shit in, shit out." If you sell a job wrong, there's no one on your team who can make up for that...If your idea is wrong, the last guy on the chain isn't going to fix it...I realized that it was the account side that was lacking creativity...People were still trying to sell interactive like it was a "side cart thing."
How did you learn interactive?

I love the idea that creativity follows strategy. I want you to try to specialize in something if you can, but also, be the kind of person who can have some insights. What other insights can you share with me?
I have this severe attachment to pencils. The odd thing about this is for a decade I've been writing on a keyboard, and I've almost lost the ability to write with my hand...So, I made these really cheesy, self-monitoring pencils with a tag line on them that says, "going for greatness." It's a way to remind myself what my ultimate goal is and this (pencil) represents to me, the REAL work it takes, no matter how computerized we'll become.
